Eagle Pass is Maverick County’s hub for medical care. Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center — a progressive acute care facility and medical center — features 101 licensed beds, a Level IV Trauma Center, angiography suite, Women’s Center, and inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation.

Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center focuses on contributing to the health of the community and boosting the local economy. In 2019, they admitted 4,410 patients, had 27,036 emergency visits, and made $2.9 million in capital investments. As an employer, they paid more than $27 million in salaries and benefits. They proudly supported many charitable, educational, and nonprofit organizations.
